It's 1st March 2018, and we've just launched our new membership at a live event.
Big stage, bright lights, music, the works.
We’d built the membership using WordPress, ClickFunnels, ConvertKit, Zapier, and a few other bits I’ve tried to forget.
The whole shooting match cost about $10,000 to pull together.
A room full of people, and 80% of them sign up on the spot.
So we celebrated. Hard.
By 8 a.m. the next morning, the system had crashed.
We lost every single signup from the day.
That little moment was when I moved everything to Kajabi.
So when people ask me: “Is Kajabi worth $119/month?”
Here’s what I say:
You get your website, funnels, checkouts, courses, community, email, automations, CRM, coaching portal, affiliate system, analytics - all under one roof.
And it works.
But it’s like anything, if you don’t use it properly, it won’t work for you.
Kajabi isn’t magic. It’s a tool.
If your products don’t deliver, if your content’s poor, if your setup’s messy - that’s not Kajabi’s fault.
It’ll only give you a return if you build it right.
Here are 3 Ways to Maximise Your Kajabi Investment.
1. Get your ducks in a row first
Before you sign up, know what you're building.
You don’t need your course finished, but at least have your lead magnet, product idea, or coaching offer mapped out.
Start by creating landing pages and setting up email automations - so you’re collecting leads from day one.
2. Know your numbers
- How much do you want to make?
- How much does your product cost to deliver?
- How many sales do you need to hit your revenue target?
When you know the numbers, the monthly Kajabi fee stops feeling like a cost and starts looking like a good investment.
3. Get the setup right from the beginning
Kajabi is powerful. But it’s also easy to get wrong.
We’ve done more rescue missions than I can count - from DIY disasters to consultants who meant well but left a mess behind.
If you want it to scale, get someone who knows Kajabi inside and out.
Someone who understands the back end, the automations, the customer journey - and how it all fits together to make your business run smoother.
Here's the thing; Kajabi actually pay me.
I haven’t leveraged the affiliate program properly, but Kajabi still pays me $190–$350/month just from referrals.
That alone covers my subscription. (Some people are making $10K/month from the Kajabi Referral programme.)
So, is Kajabi worth it?
Yes.
- If you set it up right.
- If you sell a product people want.
- If you build systems that do the work when you’re not there.
It’s not the cheapest platform.
But it’s the one that gives me more time, more revenue, and more freedom.
And that’s what makes it worth every cent.
