Is AI the death of online courses?

Dec 14, 2025

Yes.
And no.

Yes - if your course is generic, bloated, and built around info-dumping instead of outcomes.

Yes - if you’re still hoping people will slog through 40 lessons and a few PDFs without ever needing support.

Yes - if you’ve built something people could Google, but not something they actually need you for.

But no, absolutely not - if you understand how people really learn.

The future of online courses isn’t just content

It’s content + connection.

  • It’s guided outcomes.
  • Shorter wins.
  • Active communities.
  • Human touchpoints.

Let me give you a real example...

Jules and I are trying (badly) to learn Spanish.

We’ve bought an online course that we dip in to when we can.

It’s flexible, useful and bueno.

But the real value?

The community that comes with it.

  • That’s where we show up.
  • That’s where we get feedback.
  • That’s where we practice, get it wrong, and slowly get better.

It’s not either/or.
We need the course.
But we also need the people.

And that’s the sweet spot:

Build a course that gets people a result and surrounds them with others on the same path.

But here’s the bit most people miss:

The user experience inside your community matters just as much as the content in your course.

If your community feels like an afterthought - people will treat it like one.

That’s why we build Kajabi setups where the course and community are fully connected:

  • One login
  • One clean experience
  • One focused path to results

And guess what?

Kajabi gives you all of that out of the box - if you know how to use it.

TL;DR – Building a Community That Works

  • Having built 100s of communities - including for some of the world’s leading life coaches - there’s a clear thread that runs through every successful one:

It’s never just about creating a space.

It’s about creating a reason to show up, engage, and grow.

Here are 6 things we include in every build:

    • A clear success path (front and centre from day one)
    • A welcome experience that actually welcomes
    • Regular reasons to check in (lives, prompts, conversations)
    • Seamless integration with your course
    • Real human interaction (not just a ghost town feed)
    • A plan for what happens next

Our Kajabi Life: When Life Gives You Lemons.

The search is finally over.

We’ve found our new home here in Spain: Casa Limón.

It’s not the dream villa on a hill.

It’s a townhouse. In the middle of El Puerto de Santa María.

Noisy. Local. Real.

And in the garden?

A giant lemon tree with the biggest, juiciest lemons you’ve ever seen.

This place isn’t what we thought we were looking for. But it’s everything we need.

Because here’s the truth:

Sometimes life doesn’t hand you the ideal scenario. It hands you a bag of lemons.

So you adapt. You get stuck in. You say yes to the noise, the newness, the full immersion.

And you find joy in the unexpected.

That’s what this move is about.

  • A full reset.
  • A different pace.
  • And building a life that feels more real than ever.

Even if that means fighting for a parking space, getting accosted in the markets, and ordering tapas in very average Spanish.

So when life gives you lemons, grab the ice, pour a gin, and get on with it.

Viva the Kajabi life.

Don't quit on the beach
Hey, it's Andy. Well, summer has landed down here in Spain, and landed hard. It's the kind of heat where even the cats won't move before six in the evening, and half my client calls have quietly turned into "Can we pick this up in September?" Fair enough. I'm not sure about you, but I rarely do my best work when it's pushing 40 degrees, and we all need a proper break. And that's why this week's...
Post when you can, not when you must
Hey, it's Andy. It's been one of those weeks. New clients onboarding, projects mid-flight, and life carrying on around all of it, the way life does. By Thursday, the day I'd usually sit down and write this, there was no chance. So I didn't. And I want to talk about why, because it sits right at the centre of how content actually works for a coaching business in 2026. Let's get into it... I do...
When 90% is Enough
Hey, it's Andy 👋 It's the end of the world as we know it. Well, not quite, but it's starting to feel like it as AI takes another giant leap for artificial kind. More on that below, and don't let the butterflies fool you. And if you've been sitting on an idea, course or membership that you just can't get launched, this edition is for you. Let's get into it. When 90% is Enough A new client made ...
