Why In-Person Still Matters: The Spark You Can’t Find Online
Nov 10, 2025Is it just me, or do we now live in a world that never seems to shut up?
The AI garbage, endless advice, “quick-win” posts, and all of it fading into the ether before your Nespresso has finished your next stay-awake injection.
How is it that there’s never been more ways to connect online, and yet it’s harder than ever to feel truly connected?
For most of us working on our own, the hardest challenge is finding clarity, motivation, and genuine inspiration.
You know what it's like — the alerts, emails, demands of others. How the hell are we supposed to get anything creative done or grow our business?
Opportunities happen at intersections
A few years back, I was at an event in Canada, one of those high-production, big-stage type things.
I ducked out to grab some water and ended up chatting with another badge-wearer doing the same.
We'd all been there for 3 days, and she told me,
“This is my last shot. If I don’t figure something out today, I have to go back and get a job.”
We left the grand hall and grabbed a coffee.
Five others joined us in the bar, total strangers from a crowd of over 800, all needing a break from the noise, and all a bit uncertain about the next step.
We sat around that table and talked like we’d known each other for years. Every one of us brought a spark of inspiration, ideas, a bit of doubt, and a big question:
“Where do we go from here?”
We threw everything on the table. We challenged each other, listened, laughed, and saw things with fresh eyes.
Seven brand new ideas came to life in those 2 hours.
And that’s the power of getting in the room — really in the room — with people willing to listen and be heard, to help each other, and to admit what’s working (and what’s not).
In-person still matters
Right now, my life looks pretty idyllic.
I live in a coastal town just outside Cádiz, running a lean business, working with six and seven-figure coaches around the world.
And I love it.
But I’ll tell you, I still crave being in the room with great minds.
I miss that spark that only happens when you sit across from someone and say, “Yes. That. That’s it.”
There’s a kind of unspoken energy in those moments — no filters, no DMs, no AI — just people who get it.
So, I’m throwing it out there.
I’m thinking of hosting a small event in Seville called Great Minds.
It'll be in early 2026, in an inspiring place with founders, coaches, and creators who get it.
No stage lights, no ten-step formulas, no egos.
Just real people, honest conversations, and the energy that comes from building things together, in real time.
If you’re feeling stuck, siloed, or simply caught in the noise, you’re not alone. And I'm building this for all of us.
Are you interested?
There’s no commitment, I’m just testing the temperature of the room (so to speak).
Let me know dropping me a message: [email protected]
I'll put the outline together and share it with you to see what you think.
Because real change happens when we get together (plus Seville will knock your socks off)!
